Firstly, for being packaged in mid September, I’m impressed with the state the weed is in! Brands like Spinach’s flower from this February was more dry than the Medicine Man was. The cure and store job done by Pow Wow is definitely already a great sign of quality. However, I do wish I got to this one sooner as it definitely is no longer at it’s full potential.

Upon cracking the seal, you’re met with a wonderful but light herbal, floral and woodsy flavour in nicely compact, sticky and dense nugs. A decent crystal coverage but nothing to write home about, however at 18.5% THC, it speaks to higher concentrations of terpenes and minor cannabinoids over your usual mass-produced THC strains on the market.

Grinding and rolling was no difficult task, the weed was slightly sticky but more fluffy once ground. Burn was harsh and the ash was mostly gray-white, not the most pleasant joint I’ve had, but the flavour definitely helped make up for it! Very floral and herbal, with a hint of wood like with the nose – certainly was tasty and flavourful!

The high was nothing special either, I rolled a larger joint than usual for the taste testing, and I found I still didn’t get much of a high, and more so a light buzz. However the effects that did come through were excellent, being a very relaxing and mood-lifting smoke. For those with a lower tolerance and would like some decent bud at a decent price, I would certainly recommend giving this a shot.

Overall, I’m slightly disappointed that this didn’t quite reach the quality presented in their Smudge strain, which I tried earlier this year. But I’m still impressed with the quality of the bud, and especially so concerning the pack date.  I believe Pow Wow has some growing to do however, as it’s a bit outdated to not list common CPA information such as terpenes, or other quality-affirming info, such as harvest date or cure time. I’m definitely excited to see where Pow Wow takes their next steps, and to see what the future for them holds! Happy toking everybody!
