Some killer weed! This has been my first time hearing of the brand, however it seems they have quite an established legacy for bringing well grown, craft cannabis to the market at a reasonable price; And I’m happy to report that they’ve certainly hit their target once again, with their Sunset MAC!
Off the bat, the packaging is quite nice compared to most brands – having a sealed tuna can with a cushioned lid on top – certainly kept in all the moisture! The nugs were crazy dense, but still soft and spongy to the touch! Leaves a real sticky coating of trichs on your fingers upon touching it.
Upon opening the package, you’re hit with a very strong sweet citrus, earthy and floral nose – certainly pleasant, and expected of 3%+ terps. Albeit sticky, it still grinds well and rolls up nice in a joint! Burns slow, with a nice citrus, herbal and earthy flavour. Super smooth with a very fine white ash, it was a very enjoyable smoke! Flavour lasted about half the joint, so fairly average.
The high was uplifting, euphoric and relaxing, nothing too insane or potent, but was a nice chill stone! I wouldn’t recommend this if you prefer a heavy sedative strain, but for a good relaxing kick that’s perfect for day or night-time smoking: this is certainly a strain you’ll enjoy! Top tier genetics definitely lend it’s hand to the sheer quality of the strain, only amplified by the people who put their heart into growing it.
Overall, this is one bargain deal you won’t want to miss out on! Craftport seems to be a very consistent supplier of quality, craft-grown cannabis from across Canada! And for being in direct competition with most budget to middle tier brands, they’re certainly an easy brand to get a hold of too, without making your wallet cry in agony. If you see Sunset MAC, or any other Craftport strain for that matter – do consider picking it up! I believe you’ll be as pleasantly surprised as I’ve been. Happy toking everyone!
